Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. seeks a Substation Technician C to support construction, maintenance and repair of substation equipment up to 525 kV. This non-exempt role requires 2-4 years of hands-on experience, ability to work in confined spaces and at heights, and willingness to travel as needed.

You will perform tasks such as foundations, buswork, terminations, control buildings, and switchgear, while following safety rules and procedures on diverse job sites across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Able to perform rigorous physical labor.
• Must be capable of climbing and working at heights up to 125 feet.
• Must possess or be capable of obtaining a Commercial Drivers’ License.
• Must supply own personal hand tools.
• Must supply safety toed work boots.
• 90% travel required.

Responsibilities

• Works safely while performing construction, maintenance or repair of substation equipment/systems.
• Includes foundations, buswork, switches, control buildings, terminations and transformers.
• Responsible for maintaining Company vehicles, test equipment and tools in good working condition.
• May work independently or with others and travel to various locations as needed.
