Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Substation Technician-B to support construction, maintenance and repair of substation equipment. The role requires knowledge of 525 kV and below systems, ability to work in confined spaces, and coaching crew members. Travel to various sites is expected, with occasional multi-state assignments.

The position demands physical endurance, climbing and working at heights, and the use of heavy equipment. A CDL and owned tools are required, with overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• Must have ability to perform rigorous physical labor.
• Commercial Drivers’ License required.
• Must supply own personal hand tools and safety-toed boots.
• Willing to travel 90% and work overtime or emergencies.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance and repair of substation equipment/systems.
• Work safely with high voltage equipment and systems.
• Inspect, test, troubleshoot and diagnose components.
• Interact with customers and subordinates; coach crew members as needed.
• Maintain company vehicles, tools and test equipment.
