Job summary

QISG is seeking an Engineering Project Manager – Substation to lead technical efforts across the full project lifecycle, from proposal through closeout. You will coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning while managing risk and ensuring standards compliance.

Reporting to the Engineering Director, you will collaborate with internal teams and clients to deliver safe, reliable, and high-performance substation projects, driving value and long-term energy resilience.

Qualifications

• BS or MS in engineering from ABET-accredited university.
• P.E. license is preferred.
• Minimum 10 years in electric utility engineering or management for HV projects.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex projects on time/budget.
• Strong knowledge of ANSI, ASTM, ACI, AISC, IEEE, NEC, NESC standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership, project coordination, and oversight across full project lifecycle.
• Serve as liaison between engineering, construction and client teams; drive collaboration and risk management.
• Ensure deliverables are complete, constructible, and compliant with standards and schedules.
• Develop training strategies to elevate team performance and support business development.
