Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group (QISG) seeks an Engineering Project Manager – Substation to lead and manage complex substation projects end-to-end. You will coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning, ensuring compliance with standards and on-time delivery.

Reporting to the Engineering Director, you will drive collaboration across internal teams and with clients, manage risks, and champion safety and quality in every phase of the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 10+ years in electric utility engineering or management roles.
• ABET-accredited degree required; PE license preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead engineering work with executive oversight.
• Oversee full project lifecycle from concept to closeout.
• Define scope, deliverables, and technical requirements.
• Manage performance of engineering partners and KPIs.
• Facilitate design reviews, constructability reviews, and risk mitigation.
• Ensure documentation and standards compliance across projects.
• Develop training strategies to raise team capabilities.
• Support business development through client meetings and proposals.
• Collaborate with Quanta Engineering and Construction operating units.
• Drive innovation and efficiency in processes and methodologies.
• Promote safety, quality, and integrity within the department.
• Stay current with industry trends and new technologies.
• Represent QISG in industry forums and associations.
