Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group is seeking an accomplished Engineering Project Manager – Substation to lead complex substation projects from proposal through closeout. You will oversee technical delivery, coordinate engineering, procurement, and construction activities, and ensure schedules and budgets are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in electric utility industry engineering or management for high voltage projects.
• Bachelor of Science or graduate degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• P.E. license is preferred.
• Proven track record of leading multidisciplinary engineering teams and delivering complex projects on time and within budget.
• Strong technical expertise in structural, civil, or electrical engineering and understanding of industry standards.
• Knowledge of scheduling, contracts, and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Strategically collaborate with engineering and operational leadership on technical goals and oversee engineering work.
• Act as a technical lead across project lifecycle phases including visits to job sites as necessary.
• Define engineering scope, deliverables, assumptions, and technical requirements for each project.
• Manage performance of engineering partners and review KPIs with senior leadership.
• Facilitate design reviews, constructability reviews, and coordination meetings; identify risks and mitigation strategies.
• Ensure documentation and standards meet company and customer requirements.
• Develop training strategies to enhance team competencies and support client meetings and planning activities.
• Drive innovation and efficiency in engineering processes, leveraging new technologies.
• Represent QISG in industry forums and professional associations.
