Job summary

Quanta Infrastructure Solutions Group seeks an Engineering Project Manager – Substation to lead the full project lifecycle from proposal through closeout. You will coordinate engineering, procurement, construction, and commissioning while ensuring compliance, schedules, and budgets.

The role demands strong leadership and risk management in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate has 10+ years in electric utilities, an ABET‑accredited engineering degree, and excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Ten years+ experience in electric utility engineering or management for high voltage projects.
• ABET-accredited BS or graduate degree in engineering.
• PE license preferred.
• Proven track record leading multidisciplinary teams and delivering complex projects on time and budget.
• Strong technical depth in structural, civil, or electrical engineering and utility standards.
• Knowledge of scheduling, contracting, coordinating across disciplines, and project controls.

Responsibilities

• Serve as technical lead across project lifecycle from conception to closeout.
• Define scope, deliverables, assumptions, and technical requirements for each project.
• Manage engineering partners and review KPIs with senior leadership.
• Facilitate design and constructability reviews and risk mitigation.
• Ensure documentation, standards compliance, and alignment with schedules and budgets.
• Develop training strategies to elevate team performance within the Substation PM group.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Construction operating units to drive work and deliver results.
• Promote safety, quality, and integrity within the department and industry best practices.
• Stay current with industry trends and innovations to improve project delivery and outcomes.
