Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a senior Production Support Engineer (SMTS) within a high-growth embedded reliability team.

You will help ensure the Agentforce Operations platform is the most reliable AI-powered engine in the industry, collaborating with PMTS-level engineers and product owners. This role emphasizes scaling, reliability, and observability, with opportunities to influence architecture from day one, write production-grade code in Golang, TypeScript or Python, and advance AI-driven

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in SRE, Production Engineering, or Backend Engineering with a heavy focus on operations and scale.
Proven scaling experience managing a product through high-growth phases (1 to 100).
Ability to write and review production-grade code in Golang, TypeScript, or Python.
Technical breadth with Kubernetes, Terraform/OpenTofu, and AWS/GCP/Azure.
Observability expertise with SLO-based monitoring and alerting.
Strong understanding of distributed systems and microservice interactions.
Low-ego collaborator capable of leading initiatives within a senior team.
AI fluency with modern AI development tools to accelerate delivery.

Responsibilities

Own the reliability roadmap for major product areas and scale systems to global demand.
Collaborate with senior engineers to refine infrastructure strategy and capacity planning.
Maintain and evolve automated environments and improve infrastructure-as-code.
Support scaling of AI/ML infrastructure and ensure GPU resources and data pipelines.
Lead production excellence by improving observability and building preventive tooling.
Deep-dive into SQL, API latency, and cross-service communication for performance.
Leverage AI tools to automate routine operational tasks and speed delivery.
