Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a Production Support Engineer (SMTS) to drive reliability and scalability of the Agentforce platform. You will work with senior engineers to ensure AI-powered operations perform at enterprise scale, contributing to design reviews and automation across the platform.

You will focus on production excellence, performance tuning, and infrastructure automation, embedding with the product org to scale capabilities from day one.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SRE, Production Engineering, or Backend Engineering with a heavy focus on operations and scale.
• Proven Scaling Experience: taken a product through a high-growth phase with architectural shifts.
• Coding Mastery in Golang, TypeScript, or Python, focusing on automation.
• Strong proficiency in Kubernetes, Terraform/OpenTofu, and AWS/GCP/Azure.
• Observability experience with SLO-based monitoring and alerting.
• Systems expert in distributed architectures, microservices, databases, and AI agents.
• Ownership mindset: able to own end-to-end initiatives autonomously.
• AI fluency: using modern AI tools to move faster and improve reliability.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability roadmap for major product areas, transitioning to global-scale, highly-available solutions.
• Collaborate with PMTS-level engineers to refine infrastructure strategy and design.
• Maintain and evolve automated environments and an infrastructure-as-code approach.
• Scale AI/ML infrastructure with resources and data pipelines for real-time insights.
• Lead the 1 to 100 hardening of the observability stack and build preventative tooling.
• Deep-dive into SQL optimization, API latency, and cross-service communication for performance under load.
• Leverage AI tools to automate routine operational tasks and accelerate delivery.
