Job summary

Salesforce is seeking a Production Support Engineer (SMTS) to join our embedded reliability team in Seattle. You will work with a group of engineers and product owners to ensure the Agentforce Operations platform remains the most reliable AI-powered engine in the industry.

This role centers on scaling, performance tuning, and infrastructure automation. You’ll participate in design reviews to guarantee new capabilities scale from day one and contribute to an observability-driven culture with

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in SRE, Production Engineering, or Backend Engineering focused on operations and scale.
Experience taking a product through high-growth phase with architectural shifts.
Proficient in writing production-grade code (Golang, TypeScript, or Python).
Strong command of Kubernetes, Terraform/OpenTofu, and cloud platforms (AWS/GCP/Azure).
Experience instrumenting applications with SLO-based monitoring and alerting.

Responsibilities

Own the reliability roadmap for major product areas and scale architectures globally.
Collaborate with PMTS‑level engineers to refine infrastructure strategy and capacity planning.
Maintain and evolve automated environments and infrastructure-as-code models.
Scale AI/ML infrastructure and manage GPU resources and data pipelines for real-time insights.
Lead the observability stack hardening and build proactive instrumentation to prevent incidents.
