Job summary

Leadout Capital is seeking a Production Support Engineer (SMTS) to join our embedded reliability team. You will help scale the Agentforce Operations platform and work with engineers and product owners to ensure enterprise-grade reliability from day one.

You will own reliability roadmaps, drive performance tuning, automate infrastructure, scale AI/ML infrastructure, improve observability, and optimize SQL/API performance while embracing an AI-first workflow.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SRE, Production Engineering, or Backend Engineering with a heavy focus on operations and scale.
• Proven Scaling Experience: helped take a product through a high-growth phase (the '1 to 100' journey).
• Coding Mastery: ability to write and review production-level code in Golang, TypeScript, or Python.
• Technical Breadth: Kubernetes, Terraform/OpenTofu, and AWS/GCP/Azure.
• Observability Expert: demonstrated experience with SLO-based monitoring and alerting.
• Systems Expert: deep understanding of distributed systems and debugging microservices, databases, and AI agents.
• Low-Ego Collaboration: experience working within a senior team and supporting the broader technical vision.
• AI Fluency: ability to use modern AI development tools to move faster and build more reliable systems.
• Ownership Mentality: autonomy to identify issues and own the solution through implementation.

Responsibilities

• Scaling & Reliability: Own the reliability roadmap for major product areas, transitioning to highly-available, global-scale enterprise solutions.
• Collaborative Leadership: Partner with PMTS-level engineers to refine infrastructure strategy and system design.
• Infrastructure as Code: Maintain and evolve automated environments for robust, developer-friendly tooling.
• AI Operations (AIOps): Scale AI/ML infrastructure with proper GPU resources and data pipelines for real-time insights.
• Production Excellence: Lead the 1 to 100 hardening of observability and telemetry to prevent incidents.
• Performance Engineering: Optimize SQL, API latency, and cross-service communication for data-intensive platforms.
• AI-First Workflow: Use AI tools to automate operational tasks and accelerate delivery.
