Job summary

Salesforce, Inc. is seeking a Production Support Engineer (SMTS) to join the embedded reliability team. You will work with other engineers and product owners to ensure the Agentforce Operations platform remains the most reliable AI-powered engine in the industry.

This role focuses on scaling, production excellence, performance tuning, and infrastructure automation. You will influence design reviews and ensure new capabilities scale from day one within a fast-moving product organization.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in SRE, Production Engineering, or Backend Engineering with a focus on operations and scale.
• Proven Scaling Experience, taking products through high-growth phases and managing technical debt.
• Proficiency in Golang, TypeScript, or Python; automation as software engineering.
• Strong breadth in cloud, orchestration and observability tools (Kubernetes, Terraform, AWS/GCP/Azure).
• Experience instrumenting applications with SLO-based monitoring and alerting.

Responsibilities

• Own the reliability roadmap for major product areas to scale globally.
• Partner with senior engineers to refine infrastructure strategy and capacity planning.
• Maintain and evolve automated environments; improve infrastructure-as-code practices.
• Support AI/ML infrastructure scaling, ensuring GPUs and data pipelines for real-time insights.
• Lead observability hardening; build tooling and telemetry to prevent and explain incidents.
• Deep-dive into SQL, API latency, and cross-service communication for performance at scale.
• Leverage AI tools to automate routine operational tasks and accelerate delivery.
