Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to partner with engineering and business teams, becoming the technical expert for customers and delivering innovative solutions impacting millions of users.

You will drive pre-sales activities, craft technical proposals, and lead demos/POCs while collaborating with cross-functional teams to meet customer needs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

8 years of experience required.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
US citizenship required due to client base.
Experience in customer-facing consulting, technical solutions pre-sales or post-sales roles.
Background in web acceleration, web security, infrastructure security technologies or cloud computing.
Strong understanding of the internet: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTML, SSL.
Customer advocate with ability to present to diverse audiences.

Responsibilities

Create sales opportunities by leading the pre-sales technical process and demonstrating Akamai's technology to customers.
Manage the technical proposal process and ensure all technical information and recommendations address customer requirements.
Track account activity for business analysis and reporting, designing technical solutions to meet customer needs.
Lead sales activities such as technical demos and proofs of concepts (POCs).
