Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer for the Public Sector Pre-Sales team.

You will be the technical expert, partnering with engineering and business teams to deliver innovative solutions that align Akamai's offerings with government and regulated-industry needs. You will drive technical demos, POCs, and pre-sales activities while translating customer requirements into scalable, secure internet solutions.

Qualifications

• 8+ years in a customer-facing technical role.
• Experience in pre-sales or solution sales.
• Background in web acceleration, security, or cloud computing.

Responsibilities

• Create sales opportunities by managing the pre-sales technical process and demonstrating Akamai's technology to customers.
• Manage the technical proposal process and ensure accuracy of technical information addressing customer requirements.
• Track account activity for business analysis and design technical solutions meeting customer needs.
• Lead sales activities such as Technical Demos and Proof of Concepts (POCs).
