Job summary
Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to be the technical expert for customers in government and regulated industries.
You will collaborate with engineering and business teams to tailor Akamai solutions that drive value and protect critical services. You will lead pre-sales activities, deliver technical demos and POCs, and design solutions addressing customer requirements while tracking account activity for business analysis.
Qualifications
- 8 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or equivalent.
- US citizenship due to client base.
- Experience in customer-facing consulting or pre-sales roles.
- Background in web acceleration, web security, infrastructure security technologies or cloud computing.
- Understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTML, SSL and cloud computing.
Responsibilities
- Create sales opportunities by managing the pre-sales technical process and demonstrating Akamai's technology to customers.
- Manage the technical proposal process and ensure all technical information and recommendations address customer requirements.
- Track account activity for business analysis and design technical solutions meeting customer needs.
- Lead sales activities such as Technical Demos and POCs.
