Qualifications

• 8 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• US citizenship due to the client base
• Experience in customer-facing consulting, technical solutions pre-sales or pre-sales role
• Background in web acceleration, web security, infrastructure security technologies or cloud computing solutions
• Understanding of the internet: TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTML, SSL; Cloud Computing
• Customer advocate passionate about delivering technical solutions
• Experience presenting technical topics to diverse audiences
• Team player who collaborates, prioritizes and solves problems in a fast-changing environment

Responsibilities

• Creating sales opportunities by managing the pre-sales technical process and demonstrating Akamai's technology to customers
• Managing the technical proposal process and ensuring all technical information and recommendations addressing customer requirements are accurate
• Tracking account activity for business analysis and reporting, designing technical solutions to meet our customers needs
• Leading sales activities such as Technical Demos and Proof of Concepts (POCs)
