Job summary

Akamai Technologies, Inc. is seeking a Senior Solutions Engineer to partner with engineering and business teams to become the technical expert our customers rely on.

You will deliver innovative solutions that impact millions of users by managing the pre-sales technical process and leading demos and POCs. You will collaborate with customers in large-scale government and regulated industries, leveraging Akamai's global platform to accelerate and secure web applications.

Qualifications

• 8 years of experience and a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent.
• US citizenship due to client base.
• Experience in customer-facing consulting, technical solutions pre-sales or post-sales roles.
• Background in web acceleration, web security, infrastructure security technologies or cloud computing.
• Demonstrate understanding of internet protocols including TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, HTML, SSL.
• Be a customer advocate for delivering technical solutions.
• Experience presenting to diverse audiences.
• Team player, able to collaborate in a fast-changing environment.

Responsibilities

• Create sales opportunities by managing the pre-sales technical process and demonstrating Akamai's technology.
• Manage technical proposals and ensure accuracy of information addressing customer requirements.
• Track account activity for business analysis and report on results; design technical solutions meeting customer needs.
• Lead sales activities such as technical demos and proofs of concept (POCs).
