Job summary

TikTok is hiring for a senior video codec verification engineer to design and verify hardware accelerators (FPGA/ASIC) for high-performance video encoding and processing. You will join a fast-growing team spanning algorithm, architecture, software, firmware, and hardware design and verification, aiming for scalable, industry-leading solutions.

Qualifications include 3+ years in ASIC/SoC verification, strong SystemVerilog/UVM expertise, and proficiency with VCS/Incisive/Questa, Verdi.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Microelectronics, Computer Science, Electronic Communications, or a related field.
• 3+ years of working experience in ASIC/SoC verification.
• Mastery of SystemVerilog and UVM methodology, with the ability to independently build IP-level or SoC-level verification environments.
• Proficiency in mainstream simulation and debugging tools (VCS/Incisive/Questa, Verdi, etc.).
• Exceptional debugging and logical analysis skills; proficient in Python/Perl/Shell scripting for automation.

Responsibilities

• Verification Planning: Develop comprehensive module-, subsystem-, or SoC-level test plans.
• Environment Development: Build automated verification environments (Scoreboard, Monitor, Sequence) based on UVM.
• Test Execution & Closure: Develop testcases, run constrained/random tests, achieve high code coverage.
• System-Level Verification: GLS timing simulations; assist FPGA prototyping and co-debugging on emulation platforms.
• Flow Optimization: Improve regression scripts and automation to boost verification efficiency.
