Job summary

Providence is seeking a Principal Service Engineer IS ServiceNow for a hybrid role in the Seattle region. You’ll shape the ServiceNow roadmap, define architecture, and own integrations across enterprise patterns.

This role requires deep technical leadership to ensure reliability, performance, and cost efficiency in caregiver-focused services. The position emphasizes collaboration with architects, developers, and operations teams in an Agile environment, with a focus on production-ready solutions

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, CS, Math, Engineering or equivalent.
• 8+ years related experience.
• Automation experience in deployment, recovery, or related manual processes.
• Experience with n-tier solutions.
• Proficiency in resilience modeling and outage simulation.
• Translate requirements into service architecture for QoS.
• Lead Live Site backlog discussions and prioritization.
• Use data/metrics to drive decisions and priorities.
• Strong root-cause analysis skills.

Responsibilities

• Own product strategy, roadmap, and development for ServiceNow
• Define Architecture & Platform Strategy
• Own Integration & Enterprise Architecture Patterns
• Enable application lifecycle decisions (rationalization, modernization, retirement)
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and operations teams using Agile/Scrum
• Establish Platform Governance & Engineering Standards
• Ensure Quality, Performance & Reliability while supporting delivery and continuous improvement
