Job summary

Providence is hiring a Principal Service Engineer for the ServiceNow team in a hybrid Irvine, CA location. You will partner with stakeholders, developers, and product owners to design and operate enterprise-scale services, guiding architecture, governance, and platform strategy to deliver reliable, scalable solutions that advance caregiver support.

You will own the ServiceNow roadmap, drive performance, and enable lifecycle decisions while collaborating with cross-functional teams in an Agile

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or equivalent.
8+ years of related experience.
Strong automation experience related to deployment, recovery, or manual processes.
Strong experience with n-tier solutions.
Strong experience with resilience modeling (failure mode analysis) and simulations of outages.
Ability to translate requirements into service architecture to meet QoS.
Experience leading backlog discussions and Live Site prioritization.
Experience using data/metrics to drive decisions and prioritize work.
Strong problem solving with root cause analysis.

Responsibilities

Own product strategy, roadmap, and development for ServiceNow.
Define Architecture & Platform Strategy.
Own Integration & Enterprise Architecture Patterns.
Enable application lifecycle decisions (rationalization, modernization, retirement).
Collaborate with architects, developers, and operations using Agile/Scrum.
Establish Platform Governance & Engineering Standards.
Ensure Quality, Performance & Reliability across releases.
