Job summary

Providence is seeking a Principal Service Engineer on the ServiceNow team, to design, operate, and continuously improve enterprise-scale services that empower caregivers. You will lead platform strategy, governance, and cross-functional collaboration to deliver reliable, scalable solutions with a focus on performance and cost efficiency.

The role supports Hybrid work for candidates within 65 miles of Seattle, with a strong emphasis on architecture, automation, and stakeholder management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years related experience.
• Experience with automation for deployment, recovery, or other manual processes.
• Experience with n-tier solutions and resilience modeling.
• Ability to translate customer and technical requirements into service architecture.
• Experience leading backlog discussions and prioritizing Live Site requirements.
• Ability to leverage data/metrics to inform decisions and drive priority.

Responsibilities

• Own product strategy, roadmap, and development for ServiceNow.
• Define Architecture & Platform Strategy.
• Own Integration & Enterprise Architecture Patterns.
• Enable application lifecycle decisions (rationalization, modernization, retirement).
• Collaborate with architects, developers, and operations teams using Agile/Scrum.
• Establish Platform Governance & Engineering Standards.
• Ensure Quality, Performance & Reliability while supporting delivery and continuous improvement.
