Job summary

Providence is seeking a Principal Service Engineer for the ServiceNow team to partner with stakeholders and engineers to design, operate, and continually improve enterprise-scale services that power caregiver-focused outcomes. The role leads platform strategy, governance, and lifecycle decisions, delivering reliable, high-performance solutions.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
8+ years related experience.
Automation experience in deployment/recovery or similar manual processes.
Experience with n-tier solutions.
Experience in resilience modeling and simulating service outages.
Ability to translate requirements into service architecture for QoS.
Experience leading backlog discussions and live-site prioritization.
Experience using data/metrics to drive decisions and root-cause analysis.

Responsibilities

Own product strategy, roadmap, and development for ServiceNow.
Define Architecture & Platform Strategy.
Own Integration & Enterprise Architecture Patterns.
Enable application lifecycle decisions (rationalization, modernization, retirement).
Collaborate with architects, developers, and operations teams (Agile/Scrum).
Establish Platform Governance & Engineering Standards.
Ensure Quality, Performance & Reliability for delivery and improvements.
