Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Service Designer for a fully remote role focused on modernizing complex systems for federal agencies, including the Department of Veterans Affairs. You will lead discovery, translate insights into actionable strategies, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across product, engineering, data, and research.

You will influence client decisions, establish design best practices, and contribute to organizational growth without formal people management

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in service design, UX or user research.
• Strong command of service design methods, discovery techniques, and systems thinking.
• Proven track record delivering high-impact projects for clients and end users.
• Ability to synthesize qualitative and quantitative insights and develop evidence-based recommendations.
• Excellent client relationship management and stakeholder facilitation skills.
• Experience collaborating with product, engineering, data and research teams in agile environments.
• Ability to connect design decisions to business objectives and growth opportunities.
• Experience applying responsible AI-enabled approaches to improve outcomes.
• Willingness to travel up to 10% for client engagements.
• U.S. citizenship and residency in eligible states for government contracts.

Responsibilities

• Lead cross-functional service design engagements with high-quality, timely delivery.
• Apply mixed-method research to understand user needs, processes, and technology ecosystems.
• Map complex relationships to develop holistic service improvements.
• Partner with product, engineering, data and research teams to define problems and solutions.
• Engage with clients, present findings, validate assumptions, and defend recommendations.
• Identify risks and manage delivery challenges to meet program objectives.
• Explore responsible AI tools to accelerate discovery and improve outcomes.
• Contribute to internal initiatives and knowledge sharing on service design best practices.
