Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Service Designer to join a fully remote team focused on modernizing federal government services. You will lead discovery and service design engagements across product, engineering, data, and research, starting with Department of Veterans Affairs programs.

You will influence client decisions, establish design best practices, and help grow the organization's service design capabilities in mission-driven environments, incorporating responsible AI innovation.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience in service design, UX design, user research, or related discipline, including leadership of complex engagements.
• Strong command of service design methods, research and discovery techniques, systems thinking, and strategic problem solving.
• Proven track record delivering high-impact projects that generate measurable value for clients and end users.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, cross-functional service design engagements with high-quality, timely delivery.
• Apply mixed-method research to understand user needs, processes, and technology ecosystems; translate findings into actionable insights.
• Map relationships between people, processes, technology, and organizations for holistic service understanding and improvement.
• Partner with product managers, engineers, data scientists, researchers to define problems and develop solutions.
• Engage with clients to validate assumptions, present findings, and defend service design recommendations.
