Job summary

Jobgether is seeking a Senior Service Designer to lead human-centered design initiatives that help federal agencies modernize complex systems and deliver improved digital services. You will drive discovery, translate research into actionable strategies, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across product, engineering, data, and research.

This is a fully remote role supporting programs including the Department of Veterans Affairs.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in service design, UX or user research with leadership of complex engagements.
• Strong command of service design methods, research and discovery techniques, and systems thinking.
• Proven track record delivering high-impact projects with measurable client value.
• Excellent communication, facilitation and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience working with agile teams and cross-functional collaborators.
• Preferred: federal government experience; familiarity with data science principles.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex, cross-functional service design engagements with high-quality delivery.
• Apply mixed-method research to understand user needs and translate findings into actionable insights.
• Map relationships between people, processes, technologies, and organizations for holistic service understanding.
• Partner with product managers, engineers, data scientists, researchers to define problems and solutions.
• Build trusted client relationships; present and defend service design recommendations.
