Job summary

Ascensus is seeking a Client Services Consultant in the United States to deliver consultative client service to partners, intermediaries and plan sponsors. You will apply retirement plan knowledge, resolve complex issues, and coach others while maintaining strong client relationships and ensuring satisfaction.

You will collaborate with Relationship Managers, manage escalations, and contribute to retention and growth across a diverse book of business.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• Minimum of 3–5 years direct client experience required, Retirement Services industry experience preferred.
• Certification or working towards certification (ASPPA, CEBS, etc.) in industry-related studies preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels within the Ascensus organization and client base.
• Experience with financial services systems (recordkeeping, trust, trading) and plan recordkeeping/trust reconciliation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel required; PowerPoint preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide high level consultative client service and coordinate with clients and partners to address issues.
• Demonstrate detailed knowledge of retirement plans and Ascensus business.
• Coach and mentor others in retirement plan and client relations.
• Monitor and follow-up on assigned items and implement solutions as appropriate.
• Communicate clearly about services, execution and resolution throughout the service cycle.
• Build strong relationships with clients and financial professionals and update them on product and plan initiatives.
• Manage vendor relationships on behalf of clients and partner.
• Identify opportunities and contribute to retention and growth in the book of business.
• Support team and leadership with escalated items and special projects.
