The Client Services Consultant will deliver consultative service to partners, intermediaries and plan sponsors and work with the Relationship Manager to ensure client satisfaction and retention.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3–5 years direct client experience in retirement services.
• Certification or working towards ASPPA, CEBS, etc. in industry-related studies preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills. The ability to communicate effectively with all levels.
• Excellent presentation skills, business etiquette, client service skills and time management.
• Demonstrated professionalism in all aspects of the role.
• Experience with financial services systems (recordkeeping, trust, trading) and plan recordkeeping/trust reconciliation.
• MS Office proficiency (Word/Excel required; Access/PowerPoint preferred).
• Excellent analytical and problem resolution skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of retirement plans, ERISA, DOL and IRS regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide consistently high level consultative client service and address issues with research and solutions.
• Demonstrate detailed knowledge of retirement plans and Ascensus products and services.
• Coach and mentor others in retirement plan and client relations to meet client needs.
• Monitor, document, and resolve escalated client items with appropriate actions.
• Develop strong relationships with clients and financial professionals; update on product/plan initiatives.
• Ensure compliance-related activities and periodic plan reviews are performed.
