Job summary

Ascensus is seeking a Client Services Consultant to provide expert service to partners, intermediaries and plan sponsors. You will apply retirement plan knowledge, consult with clients, and collaborate with Relationship Managers to drive satisfaction and retention.

Responsibilities include handling complex issues, guiding clients, mentoring peers, and maintaining strong relationships with financial professionals across the Ascensus network.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
• 3-5 years direct client experience required, Retirement Services industry preferred.
• Certification or working towards certification (ASPPA, CEBS) preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with all levels in organization and clients.
• Excellent presentation skills and professional client service.
• Experience with financial services systems (recordkeeping, trust, trading).
• Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Excel); Access and PowerPoint preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem resolution skills.
• Comprehensive knowledge of retirement plans, ERISA, DOL and IRS regulations.
• Ability to work in a team to achieve service goals.
• Willingness to travel and work extended hours as required.

Responsibilities

• Provide consultative client service to partners, intermediaries and plan sponsors.
• Protect confidential data and ensure secure handling of information.
• Mentor and coach others on retirement plan and client relations.
• Demonstrate detailed knowledge of retirement plans and Ascensus products.
• Manage escalated client issues and ensure timely resolutions.
• Help build strong client relationships and communicate service results.
• Support vendor relationships on behalf of clients and partners.
• Aim to meet service levels, growth and retention targets.
• Identify opportunities with Relationship Manager to mitigate risk and improve processes.
• Coordinate with teams across departments to deliver quality client service.
