The position emphasizes strong customer service, data accuracy, and collaboration with clinical teams to guarantee proper billing and eligibility verification across healthcare services.

Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of previous experience in a health care setting.
• Experience in commercial, managed care and governmental health insurance plans.
• One (1) year experience in insurance plan authorization and referral requirements; or medical billing.
• Strong customer service skills and patient-centered focus.
• Proficiency with EPIC Registration and related systems.

Responsabilités

• Communicates effectively with patients and staff when postponement is needed due to eligibility issues.
• Prioritizes patient accounts with demographic and payer data before appointments.
• Updates registration data per policies and verifies plan additions or revisions.
• Contacts patients to obtain or update health plan data via phone, portal, or mail.
• Maintains accuracy rate of 97%+ on EPIC Registration Audit.
• Determines eligibility and benefits for scheduled visits before outpatient appointments.
• Provides coaching and mentorship to new representatives.
