Job summary

Qualifications

• Minimum three years of experience in a health care setting.
• Experience with commercial, managed care and governmental health insurance plans.
• One year experience in insurance plan authorization or medical billing.
• Strong customer service orientation and patient-centered focus.
• Proficient with computer systems including EPIC and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Communicate with patients, staff, and providers to complete registrations when eligibility or benefits cause delays.
• Prioritize and complete patient demographic, payer, and visit data before appointments.
• Update EPIC registration data according to policy and procedures.
• Confirm current health plan eligibility and benefits prior to outpatient visits.
• Advise patients and guarantors via phone, portal, or mail as needed to obtain new data.
