Qualifications

• Minimum three (3) years of previous experience in a health care setting.
• Experience with commercial, managed care and governmental health insurance plans.
• One year experience in insurance plan authorization or referral requirements; or medical billing.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with patients, staff and providers to coordinate services and update demographics.
• Verify eligibility and benefits prior to outpatient visits.
• Enter data and update EPIC registration information per policies.
• Provide coaching and mentorship to new representatives as needed.
• Assist with financial counseling and coordination when necessary.
