SOLV Energy is seeking a BESS Engineer III to design, develop, implement, and optimize battery energy storage systems from a remote location. You will guide project teams, review studies, and ensure compliance with contracts and AHJ requirements.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in BESS or power systems, strong engineering skills, and PE/license preference. The role emphasizes collaboration, innovation, and risk-aware project management while advancing solar, storage, and grid projects.

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; PE license preferred.
• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience with focus on BESS, renewables, or power systems.
• Expertise in design, integration, and optimization of battery energy storage systems including lithium-ion batteries, inverters, BMS, and grid interconnection equipment.
• Knowledge of BESS control strategies, algorithms, and optimization software.
• Proficiency in power system analysis tools (PSS/E, PSCAD) and simulation software.
• Strong knowledge of codes and standards (NEC, IEEE, IBC, NFPA, utility standards).
• Ability to manage multiple projects with clear communication and leadership.

Responsabilidades

• Serve as SME for BESS engineering scopes, guiding project teams.
• Lead design and engineering of BESS systems meeting contracts, utilities, and AHJ requirements.
• Review feasibility studies, site assessments, and sizing analyses for optimal configurations.
• Coordinate with electrical, civil, SCADA, and HV engineering scopes.
• Manage Engineers of Record and third-party partners for timely delivery.
• Provide oversight during procurement including vendor reviews.
• Collaborate with teams to design, procure, install, and commission BESS systems.
• Mentor junior engineers and stay current with industry trends.
