Job summary
SOLV Energy is seeking a BESS Engineer III who will design, develop, implement, and optimize battery energy storage systems for nationwide projects. This fully remote role reports to the engineering organization and will guide project teams through complex technical challenges.
The ideal candidate has 3+ years in BESS or power systems, strong knowledge of design, simulations, and grid interconnection standards, and a PE license is a plus.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- 3+ years of electrical engineering experience with focus on BESS, renewables, or power systems.
- Expertise in design, integration, and optimization of battery energy storage systems; including Li-ion batteries, inverters, BMS, and grid interconnection equipment.
- Knowledge of BESS control strategies, algorithms, and optimization software.
Responsibilities
- Serve as SME for BESS engineering scopes and provide guidance to project teams.
- Lead and manage the design and engineering of BESS projects to ensure compliance with contracts, utilities, and AHJ requirements.
- Review feasibility studies, site assessments, and sizing analyses to optimize BESS configurations.
