Job summary

SOLV Energy is seeking a BESS Engineer III to lead design, development, and optimization of battery energy storage systems for utility-scale projects. This fully remote role requires technical leadership across electrical, civil, and SCADA scopes, with a focus on performance, reliability, and safety.

Applicants should bring 3+ years of BESS or power systems experience, strong design and analysis skills, and the ability to mentor teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• 3+ years of electrical engineering experience with BESS, renewables, or power systems.
• Expertise in design, integration and optimization of BESS components.
• Proficiency with power system analysis and relevant standards.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the design and engineering of BESS projects.
• Provide SME guidance across electrical, civil, SCADA, and HV scopes.
• Develop technical specifications, drawings, and procurement support.
• Mentor junior engineers and coordinate with partners.
• Support commissioning, testing, and energization activities.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, IEEE, and utility standards.
