Job summary

GAF's Corporate Automation and Controls Engineering team seeks a seasoned Engineer IV to lead control-system initiatives across manufacturing sites. You will guide troubleshooting, project execution, and standards development while mentoring plant personnel.

This role requires deep expertise in Rockwell/Allen-Bradley platforms, production networks, and advanced process control, with travel about 60% to sites nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering is required.
• 5+ years of controls engineering in a continuous manufacturing environment required.
• 10+ years of controls engineering in a continuous manufacturing environment preferred.
• Legal work authorization to work in the U.S. without sponsorship.
• Proficiency with Rockwell software: Studio 5000, RSLogix 500, FTView, CCW, FTAC.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PowerFlex drives and HMI (FTView/Wonderware).
• Experience maintaining production networks, servers, and switches.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary internal engineering resource for control systems.
• Lead and facilitate strategic projects across multiple plants.
• Provide remote and onsite troubleshooting and coaching for plant controls staff.
• Develop and enforce controls standards across the organization.
