Job summary
GAF is seeking a Corporate Automation and Controls Engineer IV to lead control system initiatives across plants, including troubleshooting and technical mentoring. This remote US role requires deep expertise in Rockwell software, PLCs, HMI, and instrumentation, with 60% travel to sites as needed.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering is required.
- 5+ years of Controls Engineering experience in a continuous manufacturing environment are required.
- 10+ years of Controls Engineering experience in a continuous manufacturing environment preferred.
- Proficiency with Rockwell Automation software (Studio 5000, RSLogix 500, FTView, CCW, FTAC) and Allen-Bradley equipment.
- Experience with production networks, PLCs, instrumentation, and variable speed drives.
Responsibilities
- Plant engineering support: be the primary internal resource for control systems and improve plant performance.
- Strategic project development: create and enforce controls team standards and lead multi-plant projects.
- Plant support and troubleshooting: provide remote and onsite troubleshooting and training.
- Control group coordination: align standards and participate in controls team meetings.
