Job summary

GAF is seeking a Corporate Automation and Controls Engineer IV to provide technical direction for control and automation systems across multiple plants. You will lead strategic projects, mentor staff, and troubleshoot production-line controls while ensuring high reliability and performance.

The role requires deep engineering mastery, collaboration across teams, and the ability to guide complex projects in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Travel ~60% is anticipated.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.
• 5+ years of controls engineering in a continuous manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Rockwell Automation software (Studio 5000, RSLogix 500, FTView, CCW, FTAC).
• Experience configuring and troubleshooting Allen-Bradley PowerFlex drives.
• HMI development experience with FTView or Wonderware.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary internal engineering resource concerning control systems.
• Identify opportunities to improve plant performance.
• Lead and facilitate strategic projects that cover multiple plants.
• Provide plant support and remote/onsite troubleshooting as needed.
• Coach and mentor plant controls personnel to strengthen skills.
