Job summary

GAF Remote, US is seeking a Corporate Automation and Controls Engineer IV to provide technical direction for control systems across production. This role may oversee multiple plants and leads high-impact projects, resolving complex challenges with engineering mastery.

Travel up to 60% is required. The position emphasizes mentoring plant controls personnel, establishing standards, and enabling technical innovation in a continuous manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering Required
• 5+ years of Controls Engineering in a continuous manufacturing environment
• Proficiency with Rockwell Automation software – Studio 5000, RSLogix 500, FTView, CCW, FTAC
• Proficiency selecting, configuring, and troubleshooting Allen Bradely PowerFlex variable frequency drives
• HMI development experience – FTView and/or Wonderware
• Experience with maintaining Production networks, including servers and switches
• Knowledge of PLCs, instrumentation, and variable speed drives
• Demonstrated project leadership in controls projects spanning multiple plants

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary internal engineering resource for control systems
• Identify opportunities to improve plant performance
• Lead and facilitate strategic projects across multiple plants
• Provide plant support and training for control systems
• Coordinate with controls team to maintain standards and information
