Job summary
GAF, a leading roofing manufacturer, seeks an experienced Corporate Automation and Controls Engineer IV to provide technical direction for control systems across production facilities. You will troubleshoot production line electrical issues and mentor plant controls personnel while leading high-impact projects.
This remote, US-based role requires deep expertise in Rockwell/Allen-Bradley software, variable frequency drives, HMIs, and production networks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering required.
- 5+ years of controls engineering in a continuous manufacturing environment is required.
- 10+ years of controls engineering in a continuous manufacturing environment preferred.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S., without sponsorship.
- Proficiency with Rockwell Automation software (Studio 5000, RSLogix 500, FTView, CCW, FTAC).
- Proficiency with Allen-Bradley PowerFlex drives and HMI development (FTView/Wonderware).
- Experience with production networks, PLCs, instrumentation, and servo drives.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary internal engineering resource for control systems.
- Lead and coordinate strategic projects across multiple plants.
- Provide plant support and remote/on-site troubleshooting for control systems.
- Develop and share standards and best practices across the organization.
