Job summary

B&B Concrete seeks an experienced Reinforcing Steel Estimator/Detailer to drive bid estimates and preconstruction work remotely. You will review structural drawings, perform takeoffs, and develop labor and material pricing while aligning with project goals and company standards.

You will coordinate with engineering, project management, and field teams to ensure constructability, accuracy, and timely bid submissions. Substantial detailing and estimating background in reinforcing steel is required.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in reinforcing-steel industry with extensive bid/estimating experience.
• Experience detailing reinforcing steel and reviewing placing drawings.
• Proven ability to read structural drawings and specs accurately.
• Familiarity with large concrete/industrial projects and cost estimation.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete reinforcing‑steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Develop material, fabrication, detailing and labor cost estimates.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions per project needs.
• Identify constructability risks and bid price drivers early in the process.
• Prepare conceptual, preliminary and final estimates for management.
• Coordinate with project teams on revisions and RFIs as needed.
• Lead standardizing estimating procedures and templates.
