B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking a senior Reinforcing-Steel Estimator/Detailer for a remote, full-time role reporting to Executive Management. You will review structural drawings, perform takeoffs, develop labor and material pricing, and help establish estimating standards across projects.

The ideal candidate will have substantial reinforcing-steel experience, preferably with a rebar fabricator or concrete contractor, and can lead the estimating/detailing function while supporting management

Qualifications

• 7+ years in reinforcing-steel industry experience.
• Experience estimating reinforcing steel for large projects.
• Experience detailing reinforcing steel or reviewing placing drawings.
• Ability to review drawings and identify constructability risks.
• Experience with ACI and CRSI is preferred.
• Strong analytical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to lead a department and mentor junior staff.

Responsabilités

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
• Develop material, fabrication, detailing, labor and equipment estimates.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions.
• Review plans for scope gaps and constructability concerns.
• Identify risks and potential cost exposures before bids.
• Prepare conceptual, preliminary and final estimates.
• Assist management with bid strategy and pricing.
• Lead and mentor estimating/detailing staff as the department grows.
• Coordinate RFIs and revisions with project teams.
• Develop and maintain historical cost data for future estimates.
