Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking an experienced Reinforcing-Steel Estimator/Detailer who will lead the estimating and detailing functions for major concrete projects. You will review structural drawings, develop takeoffs, and collaborate with project teams to establish cost baselines and production rates.

The role offers a remote work arrangement with periodic travel to project sites and meetings; candidates should have extensive reinforcement-steel experience and a track record of building

Qualifications

• Substantial hands-on reinforcing-steel industry experience.
• Ability to independently review drawings and perform takeoffs.
• Experience developing labor/material pricing and production-rate estimates.
• Experience with large reinforced concrete projects.
• Strong math, analytical skills and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete reinforcing‑steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specifications.
• Develop material, fabrication, detailing, placing labor, equipment costs.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions per project.
• Identify constructability issues and bid risks.
• Prepare conceptual, preliminary and final estimates.
• Support management with change‑order pricing and cost analysis.
• Coordinate with project teams to resolve detailing issues.
• Maintain organized estimate documentation.
