Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking an experienced Estimating Lead for reinforcing steel who can work remotely. The role covers takeoffs, pricing, detailing coordination and collaboration with project teams across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate has substantial hands-on experience in the reinforcing-steel industry, reviews drawings, prepares estimates, and helps establish preconstruction processes and cost databases for future bids.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in reinforcing-steel industry, preferably with large projects.
• Experience estimating reinforcing steel for concrete-heavy works.
• Ability to read structural drawings and specs and identify constructability issues.
• Experience with large commercial, industrial or wastewater projects.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Develop material, fabrication, detailing, placing labor and other costs.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions per project.
• Review plans for scope gaps and constructability concerns.
• Lead standard estimating procedures and mentor junior staff.
