Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking a seasoned Rebar Estimator to join our remote team. You will review structural drawings, prepare complete reinforcing-steel takeoffs, and develop material, fabrication, detailing, and labor estimates for diverse projects.

Ideal candidates will have substantial hands-on reinforcing-steel experience, strong analytical skills, and the ability to coordinate with project managers and field teams to ensure reliable cost estimates.

Qualifications

• Ability to review structural drawings and specs for detailing requirements.
• Experience taking reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs and developing labor/material pricing.
• Ability to establish production-rate benchmarks and historical cost data.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Develop estimates for material, fabrication, detailing, labor, equipment, and freight.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions for projects.
• Review plans for scope gaps and constructability concerns.
• Prepare conceptual, preliminary, and final estimates and assist bid strategy.
