Zusammenfassung

B&B Concrete Contractors is seeking a senior professional to lead reinforcing-steel estimating and detailing, reviewing structural drawings and coordinating with project teams. The role combines estimating, preconstruction and operations responsibilities in a remote-friendly setting.

The ideal candidate will have extensive reinforcing-steel experience, strong analytical skills and the ability to develop cost databases and production-rate templates to support bid strategy and project execution.

Qualifikationen

• No formal college degree is required if the candidate has substantial industry experience.
• Substantial reinforcing-steel experience preferred across fabricators, placing contractors or concrete contractors.
• Experience with large concrete projects (industrial, wastewater, infrastructure) is highly valued.

Aufgaben

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from drawings and specs.
• Develop accurate estimates for material, fabrication, detailing, placing labor, equipment and freight.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions based on project conditions.
• Analyze bar sizes, tonnage, congestion, splices, dowels and other reinforcing requirements.
• Review plans for scope gaps, discrepancies and constructability concerns.
• Identify project risks and potential cost exposures before bid submission.
• Prepare conceptual, preliminary and final estimates; assist in final bid strategy.
• Solicit and evaluate pricing from materials, fabrication, freight and subcontractors.
• Maintain organized estimate documentation and assumptions.
