Job summary

B&B Concrete Contractors seeks a seasoned Reinforcing Steel Estimator/Detailer to join our remote team. You will review structural drawings, perform takeoffs, and develop labor and material pricing for complex projects.

This role supports preconstruction and operations with technical estimations and detailing coordination. Ideal candidates have extensive reinforcing-steel experience, familiarity with shop drawings, and the ability to mentor junior staff while aligning with project managers and

Qualifications

• 7+ years in reinforcing-steel industry; experience with large concrete projects preferred.
• Significant experience estimating reinforcing steel.
• Detailing reinforcing steel or reviewing placing drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform complete reinforcing-steel quantity takeoffs from structural drawings and specifications.
• Develop accurate estimates for material, fabrication, detailing, placing labor, equipment, freight and other project costs.
• Establish labor hours and production assumptions based on project conditions.
• Coordinate reinforcing steel with structural, architectural and MEP requirements.
• Review plans for scope gaps, discrepancies and constructability concerns.
• Prepare conceptual, preliminary and final estimates and assist in bid strategy.
