Job summary

Jacobs is seeking an experienced Sr Project Controls Professional for on-site assignments in Spartanburg, SC, Baton Rouge, LA, or Corpus Christi, TX, with future nationwide projects. You’ll lead cost control, forecasting, and progress tracking, collaborating with construction teams and vendors to ensure accurate reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

The role requires 15+ years in project controls, strong EVMS experience, and travel readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in project controls with a strong focus on cost management and field operations.
• Familiarity with construction contracts and pay application processes.
• Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to travel for on-site assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the setup, monitoring, and forecasting of project cost and progress metrics.
• Manage all cost control elements, including budget development and updates.
• Expenditure and forecast reporting.
• Maintain accurate data in cost control systems and tools.
• Analyze revenue and cost performance and recommend corrective actions to project and construction managers.
• Review and approve contractor pay applications, ensuring compliance with contractual terms.
• Track and report on construction physical progress using Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Coordinate with contractors to collect and upload weekly progress data into project systems.
