Job summary

Jacobs seeks a Sr Project Controls Professional for a site-based assignment across Spartanburg, SC, Baton Rouge, LA, or Corpus Christi, TX, with future on-site projects nationwide. The role focuses on cost control and construction progress tracking in a collaborative project controls team.

The ideal candidate has 15+ years in project controls, EVMS experience, and strong analytical skills. Travel to customer sites is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, finance, or an equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in project controls with emphasis on cost management and field operations.
• Familiarity with construction contracts and pay application processes.
• Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with project controls teams, construction teams, and vendors.
• Willingness and ability to travel for on-site assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead setup, monitoring, and forecasting of project cost and progress metrics.
• Manage all cost control elements: budget development/updates, scope changes, expenditure and forecast reporting.
• Maintain accurate data in cost control systems and tools.
• Analyze revenue and cost performance and recommend corrective actions.
• Review and approve contractor pay applications per contractual terms.
• Track and report construction progress using Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Coordinate with contractors to collect and upload weekly progress data into project systems.
