Job summary

Jacobs is seeking a Sr Project Controls Professional to support on-site assignments across Spartanburg, SC, Baton Rouge, LA, Corpus Christi, TX, and future projects nationwide.

The role emphasizes cost control, progress tracking, and earned value management within a dedicated project controls team, with collaboration across construction teams and vendors. Travel for on-site work is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum of 15 years of experience in project controls with focus on cost management and field operations.
• Familiarity with construction contracts and pay applications.
• Experience with Earned Value Management Systems (EVMS).
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate with project controls teams, construction teams and vendors.
• Willingness to travel for on-site assignments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the setup, monitoring, and forecasting of project cost and progress metrics.
• Manage all cost control elements, including budget development, updates, scope change tracking, and expenditure reporting.
• Maintain accurate data in cost control systems and tools.
• Analyze revenue and cost performance and recommend corrective actions to project and construction managers.
• Review and approve contractor pay applications per contract terms.
• Track and report construction progress using Earned Value Management (EVM).
• Coordinate with contractors to collect and upload weekly progress data into project systems.
