Job summary

Eaton Corporation’s Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) team leads the development, testing, and implementation of power systems controls for customers, using PLCs, HMIs, and protection relays. The role is hybrid with approximately 35% on-site work.

The PSC group provides full integration of HMIs, PLCs, protective relays, and components across major OEMs. Salary ranges reflect market considerations and candidate qualifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with minimum years of power distribution controls experience.
• Master’s degree in Engineering with minimum years of power distribution controls experience.
• Ten years of power distribution controls experience may substitute for bachelor’s or master’s credentials.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, test, and deploy software for PLCs and HMIs for Power Transfer applications.
• Follow customer and internal specifications for project implementation.
• Select components and create bill of materials.
• Provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers to develop drawings.
• Prepare customer submittals, SOOs, and test procedures.
• Assist with factory testing and field start-ups as required.
• Troubleshoot systems that are not functioning properly.
