Job summary

Eaton Corporation's Electrical Engineering Services & Systems (EESS) team leads the development, testing, and implementation of power systems control solutions using PLCs, HMIs, protection relays, and data concentrators. The role is hybrid with approximately 35% remote work in Boise, Idaho.

The position offers a salary of $97,000–$143,000 per year, paid overtime and a company vehicle, with salary based on skills and experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering from an accredited institution with power distribution controls experience (7+ years) OR Master's degree with 5+ years experience OR 10+ years experience.
• Regular Driver per Eaton’s Driver Safety Policy; valid license and satisfactory MVR; background check on hire.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, test, and deploy software for PLCs and HMIs for Power Transfer applications (Main-Tie-Main, Main-Gen, etc.).
• Follow customer specifications and internal specs for project implementation.
• Select components and create bills of materials.
• Provide sketches and direction to Electrical Designers for project drawings.
• Prepare SOO, test procedures, and customer submittals.
• Assist with factory testing and field start-ups.
• Troubleshoot systems that are not functioning properly.
